CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK

Members of the Hull & East Riding Branch.

Due to the current pandemic concerning the outbreak of COVID-19 around the world and especially the UK. There is an expectation the NHS and wider health care community will experience an explosion in cases within their respective commissioning groups. Cases are expected to peak during the month of May, plateau and steadily decline thereafter. We can expect quite a rough few months ahead. With this in mind it is sensible to cancel branch meetings with immediate effect until further notice.

Fortunately, we have the power of social media which is not restricted by social distancing or self isolation and remains an ideal platform to communicate effectively with each other. Therefore, if any member of the branch is in need of support during this crisis, please contact either myself or Mr Pete Watson who will do our utmost to assist you.

Once the pandemic has passed and life begins to return to some semblance of ‘normality’ we will announce when Branch meetings will resume. I look forward to welcoming all branch members to our next meeting (including those who have been in self isolation for a number of years!), until then, take care everyone. Regards Andy Nelson-Plews (Branch Chairman).
